The West African Union University (WAUU) is a private university situated in Cotonou, Benin. It was founded in 2014, having been registered with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Benin. As of 2015, there are some 50 on-campus students from Nigeria and Benin, as well as some 400 distance learning students running different programs in Nigeria

West African Union University (WAUU) Cotonou Benin Republic is not only poised to contribute to the technical growth and overall development of the nations of Africa, but also to jealously protect its environment and feed it to a high level of productivity by bringing in graduates of full baked status who are well in tune with the torch of excellent academic programs of the University of Africa.
